I have been a long time (3+ years) customer of Fitbit. I'm on my third, first two broke, so upgraded to the Charge 2. So far so good.

I have two other fitbits for my daughters. One has Charge 2. So far so good.

But my other has an ALTA. What a piece of crap. It started falling apart last year. The "removable" band just started coming apart from the watch when my daughter was at school. It would just fly off her wrist. Crazy. Fitbit was nice enough to send me a "better" band. It seemed better. But a few weeks ago the band started doing the same thing. It's obviously a design flaw of some sort. I just called Customer Support and they were VERY Unhelpful, bordering on rude. I told the guy the band they sent me a few months ago is doing the same thing. He didn't care, since my fitbit was "out of warrant". He was more than happy to help me order a new band!! I said why would I do that since it's obviously a design Flaw. I told him since he was so unhelpful (and unsympathetic), they just lost a customer with a large family (5 kids) since their products are crappily designed and all they want is more of your money for an already overpriced watch. Guess I'll spend a little more and get the "real" fitness watch (Apple watch). See ya later Fitbit.

DO NOT BUY A FITBIT, ESPECIALLY AN ALTA
