I purchased a Fitbit and not long after that the band was pulling apart, the company replaced it. I know have a second one and it is worse than the first one. The band is cracked and you can see the battery compartment. After emailing and calling they are not willing to stand behind their product. I think with the amount they charge for the product it should last at least a year??????? They did offer a 25% discount really do you think I would go out and purchase another after 2 of them have not held up really?????? DO NOT PURCHASE A FITBIT THEY DO NOT HOLD UP!!!!!

Contacted customer service on 10/4/2016 back and forth with terrible rep for over 45 minutes then to be transferred over to "management" to be told yet again that theirs nothing they can do to help with my charge that is out of warranty. Argued the fact that the band should not be detaching from the tracker and the reps best response was it often happens because of sweat on the wrist. Are you kidding me!!! That's the purpose. So we kept with the back and forth and I was told it was being escalated to higher ups and they call me back today 10/5/2016 and guess what?!?!? No call. So I called back and yet again the terrible rep had me on hold for almost an hour to then be connected with a special management team for her (Andie) to tell her blankly that I can accept their offer that's on the table of 25% off yet again another one mind you this is the second on that I've purchased and had the same thing happen too. Then she says I can try to continue to argue with her but that everyone in the company will say the same thing. So she then ask if I want the 25% off code to be emailed or that the call would be disconnected as she can't help any further. What a joke. Terrible customer service, even worst management. Look at photo of charge. This should be happening at all for something that's place on your wrists and paid close to 200.00 for. Never again.

Customer support isn't helpful. They gave me troubleshooting steps that I had already taken, and want me to buy another Fitbit with a 25% coupon.

This Fitbit is barely used. I want THIS one to work!

I received a Fitbit Flex as a gift in 2014. I used it for awhile (about 2-3 months), then stopped. Recently, I wanted to start using it but as luck would have it, my barely used Fitbit won't hold a charge. I went online and found that this is a common problem. I called Fitbit's customer support team and spoke to a poorly trained rep who had nothing to offer in assistance except a 25% discount on a new one. As a consumer, why would I want to purchase a new Fitbit when I've been disappointed with this one, and customer service is lacking? Ironically, Fitbit can track all of my usage through my account with them, so they can see how poorly their product performed with little usage. They don't have to take my word for it! Shameful customer experience, Fitbit!

I know a few people who had fitbits and had issues with them. That's why I decided to buy a Garmin (Best Buy).

Much cheaper, does the same thing, and best yet you don't ever charge it (runs on batteries). I've had mine for about 8 months, wear it 24/7, and haven't had a single issue with it, and have yet to replace the battery.

25% discount to replace 16 month old FidBit HR ~ REALLY

The last lady I talked to at support said I would get a 75% discount to replace my defective Charge HR. Listen to the conversation. I get the discount code and see that it is only %. That means that if my Charge only lasts 16 months (like this one) I will be paying about $ 90 a year for a FidBit device. That is not going to happen. I am not sure how long FidBit expects its products to last, but something that only last months is terrible. What are you going to do to keep me as a positive customer promoting your products? After putting on my Fitbit decided to run some errands in my truck. Rode around 60 miles seldom leaving truck. Arrived home sat and read paper and then I get an alarm that I have passed the 10000 pace mark (Really????). Then I check my heart rate 90bpm.....must have been running a marathon. Later in evening went to bed and pressed sleep on my iPhone app. The next morning it had displayed that I was asleep from the time I pressed going to sleep till I pressed awake when I got out of bed. It had reflected 2x I was sleep interrupted but never recorded the fact that I got up at 5am to go to bathroom (must have been sleep walking). I would have been better off with a Macdonald happy meals fitness watch. Don't waist your money

I purchased a Fitbit charge January 2015. August 2015 it quit syncing (7 months). Replacement received. Then on March 13, 2016 (7 months from replacement) wrist band broke (seems to be a common problem). Replacement received. September 19, 2016 (6 months since last replacement) wristband is coming apart again. ... See the pattern?! Not one of these have lasted more than six months but somehow I'm outside my warranty. For $129, I expect more than an offer of 25% of my next purchase... Are you serious? Why would anyone throw more money to this company that is one selling subpar merchandise and two horrible customers service. Time to check out their competitors.... Also check out Better Business ... Many complaints!,

Awful customer service experience

I have not had such incompetent service. I ordered the Fitbit expedited service and it did not arrive in the 2 days they claimed. When I called to complain, they said it was 2-3 days even though my email from Fitbit said 2 days (no mention of 3). The rep kept insisting it was 2-3 days until I told him their own website said 2 days. He then shut up. Finally, when it arrived, it was the wrong color Fitbit. Initially I am offered a clip to make it the correct color. I confirm this will work and they assure me it will. I don't trust them so I go online and determine the clip is simply a cover (to cover their error). I explain this to the rep who clearly has no idea and has to go to the website to confirm I am correct. So then they say there is nothing they can do and that I'll have to send it back (print out fedex label, go to fedex etc.) to make up for their incompetence. Then they say there is nothing they can offer to compensate me for my aggravation. So I canceled the order completely and will get an alternative. They are arrogant and useless and I cannot wait for the day that their technology is superseded as it annoys me that they make money and show so little regard for their customers.

Fitbit Not Trust Worthy

Purchased a Fibit Charge HR and it completely stopped working before the warranty ran out. Fitbit replaced it and the replacement has stopped before I've had that a year. They would not send another replacement but said that I could purchase another Fitbit at a 25% discount. Sorry but I work too hard for my money to throw it away on products that are not trust worthy. I am pretty sure that I am not the only consumer with this issue. They should really treat their customers better especially since their products do cost a good bit of money. I feel as though I have just thrown money away.

I along with a host of others are having a huge problem with these. They are stuck in mid-download. It's a known problem in the Fitbit community. They got your money & could care less about a solution to the problem. My first charge died after 8 months, they sent me a replacement, now have this problem. A month out of warranty, and all they can, or will do, is offer a 25% off on another POS! I wonder how many suckers they get with that. Their forum appears to be run the Gestapo, if you write a critical review they will censor it. Oh well, out $150.

I had the same exact problem with the fitbit. It is so cheaply made. I have had two break and sent new ones to me....only to have the third one break and now they won't send me another to replace it because the warranty is over. If they stand behind the product, then the warranty should be longer than a year. I will never replace mine with another fitbit, and I would suggest to anyone reading this not to either. They did offer a 25% discount on a new one...but why waste my $$ if it will just break again!

Fitbit Surge will not reset

My Fitbit Surge stopped resetting and was out of warranty by 6 months. Fitbit offered me a 25% discount towards a new Fitbit product as compensation for my faulty Surge. Further, if I had purchased this product in the EEA, my warranty would be for 2 years. Although I believe that no product can be functional forever, I sincerely feel that Fitbit should back their very expensive products with integrity! I feel that Fitbit products are a rip-off and would strongly recommend that consumers shop other producers of health tracking devices. Fitbit's quality is all "words" with no substance!

CHARGE is awful - Don't waste your money!

I had about 6 failures in the one year warranty period and was told they would offer a 25% discount on a new device (now that I am out of warranty and #6 gave up the ghost). Unacceptable that a device of this price ($125) only lasts a few weeks and after a year you are on your own. All failures were the same.. leaking and water in the display with failures to hold a charge afterwards. I did have one that the band disintegrated. Not one CSR that I spoke with was in the US, which is very odd. It became a game to ask when I called in begging for the new replacement. I hope they fall from grace and fall hard.
